Course Description
Visual arts will give students the opportunity to expand their art experiences in a variety of media. Through this class, students will provide students with a platform to explore their personal interests and form them into creative possibilities. Projects will range from two-dimensional and three-dimensional projects in painting, drawing, sculpture, and fiber arts.The visual arts give students the chance to strengthen life skills such as communicating, problem solving, and craftsmanship. This class will allow students to express themselves creatively and expand their idea of personal identity.
About Ms. Miller
Nicole Miller is the visual arts teacher at Kate Bond Middle School. She received her bachelors degree in art education at the University of Memphis and completed her teacher residency at Arlington Elementary. This is her fourth year teaching at Kate Bond. She has had experience in teaching a range of age groups from kindergarten to senior citizens. She currently teaches and co-leads various classes at the Dixon Gallery and Gardens aside from teaching at Kate Bond.
